Let’s mail some stuffs….

Hi, I am finally back to my outfit post after a few days that I wasn’t able to post any.  This is an outfit to the post office today and while out and about with my husband. I really don’t know how to call this outfit to tell you the truth. Haha. I noticed I am like this all the time, I just throw on different colors and when I am happy about it I don’t care what goes with what or what doesn’t. I guess because I am a happy person all the time. Yeah, that explains it. “ME being a happy person has a lot to do with my FASHION! ” I want plenty of colors, and I want cute stuffs. Don’t you think my summer bag is so cute?

I hope you enjoy this little post. See you next time.

DIY floral cropped dress….

DIY floral cropped dress....

Hello guys. I don’t have any outfit post these past few days but I am trying to keep you updated with what’s going on with me at the moment. At least with some DIY or just any post that I could think of. Is that cool? Yeah, I hope it is. 🙂
This skirt I found at a thriftstore and the floral design is just so adorable to me. But I wanted to make a brand new design out of this one so I decided why not make a cropped dress. I cut it to become an A-line above the knee skirt and made a cropped top out of the extra cloth. I am not done yet though. I think I will have to add straps on the top to make it more comfortable to wear. What do you think? Summer is hot….

Do you buy the shoes because they are……?

Do you buy the shoes because they are......?

Cute, edgy, unique, sexy, fashionable, stylish? I noticed, whenever I buy one, I failed to consider now if they are comfortable. I just realized they are not whenever I get home and I couldn’t even walk on them. Tsk! Fashion has certainly taught us so many things to look better, but wearing the most comfortable shoes are sometimes neglected. These shoes are a classic example. Yes, they are so cute, stylish and edgy, but they are not made for walking. True, I am a fashionista, but I am not a fashion model, I don’t buy shoes just to wear them once for a photo shoot. So for these babies, I have to think what to do with them 🙂

Have a goodnight fabulous! See you around….

Let’s squeeze some lemons……

Hi guys! How are you doing tonight? Great I hope 🙂 I just finished watching the NBA finals and I wasn’t so happy with the results, lol! But anyway, I am still having a goodnight. And I wanted to share to you an outfit I had yesterday for a lunch out at Chili’s with my husband. I called this “let’s squeeze some lemons” post because lemons are what I have in mind looking at the colors of my outfit. Hehe. I totally love it because its lemony color is very refreshing to the eyes, perfect for this blazing summer in Texas. I got this cutie bustier dress from Xhilaration, and my shoes from Amazon by C label, my purse and necklace online, my watch that I have been loving from Michael Kors, and Baroque sunnies from amazon. As you noticed, I painted my nails again which is also of the same color, I am happy about that but of course I had to remove it right away last night because today I had to go to work and the nail polish is a big no no. 😦

I hope you enjoyed my little post for tonight. See you on my next one lovely readers and visitors.

Playing with your photos…..

Playing with your photos.....

Hi. Howdy? I hope you guys are doing good. While sitting in the couch watching NBA, getting bored during the half-time report, lol, I am also playing with my photos using PS express. I thought things like this that we are able to download from our iPads, iPhones and the likes are cool. When I see photos from my friends posted on facebook using this kind of app from their gadgets, I just smiled but dont really wanna try it. I guess it’s advantageous to be bored sometimes because then you would think of something to entertain you and this thing in ps express did the trick on me 🙂

My outfit, top from sneakpeeq (free), ann Taylor purse, shorts DIY, Fedora from Payless and jelly shoes from amazon.

I hope you guys have a goodnight. Enjoy the game and goodluck to whichever team wins in the finals.

‘Til We Meet Again!

Tonight, allow me to post something which is not related to fashion. However, it is something that is relevant to what we are going to celebrate tomorrow, which is Father’s Day. I have been thinking about writing an ode, to my mother, to my father. But I am not writer, although I wished I am. But I know I could write something heartily especially for my dad who had been long gone and who was missed terribly by his children, grandchildren and loved ones.

Tears were rushing down my cheeks, my heart was so heavy and I felt a certain loneliness I haven’t felt before in my whole life. The taxi was called, I had to say goodbye. I remember that day, I had to leave but my heart and my mind were left behind, to the country, to the people, to the family who molded me with so much love. I waited for my plane, it seemed like the wait was forever. I wanted to go home, to get out of the airport and forget about my dreams, forget about a better life on the other side. But it wasn’t the best thing to do, although it felt like it was right. Then finally, the plane arrived at the gate. It was a real big plane, my first time to see one like that. I got a little bit excited. I grabbed my phone and dialed the cellphone number at home. I had to talk to my family, to tell them how big the plane was, I had to talk to my father, for one last time before the plane leaves.

“Papa, the plane is huge!” I said. Trying to be excited.

He coughed before answering. “Really? One day, I would like to be on a plane like that too.” He sounded excited and so happy for me.

“In about 40 minutes, I am going to get inside the plane and I wouldn’t be able to talk to you until I get to Los Angeles and that would be after 14-15 hours from now,” I said.

“It’s okay. You be careful, “nak” (an endearment a parent in the Philippines uses to his child – short for “anak” which means child).

Tears were rushing down my cheeks again. I noticed that my father’s voice faltered. The boarding started. I had to say goodbye.

It was a safe, uneventful flight. The moment I arrived in LA, I had to find a phone, I had to tell my family I arrived in the United States safely. I was so excited to talk to any of them, especially to my father.

The moment I heard his voice on the phone, my voice broke and then again I cried. I was feeling so dramatic. Now, I am feeling the agony  of the distance. I had to hurry up on the phone because it was an overseas call and it was expensive. I said I would call him again when I get to Texas. I had one more flight and then no more. I imagined him, he was nodding, he was coughing, but he was also crying. It was my first time to be so far away from the family. And the first time for my father, that his child would be thousands of miles away from him.

We constantly communicated on the phone. I remember, almost everyday. As much as possible, we talked about stuffs that would make us happy instead of stuffs that would remind me of home. I was already okay with that. But deep inside, I was always scared. And then one day, my biggest fear arrived. My father was sick, I knew it before I left. I knew because I sent him to the doctors. The doctors didn’t confirm it but he was terribly sick. He was brought back to the hospital for the second time and he was not able to come home alive this time. But he talked to me one last time and I didn’t want to entertain the idea that on that same day, he would leave us forever.

You know why I am writing this? Because I wanted to share how wonderful and brave he was. He didn’t plead to me to not leave him because he was the bravest father I have ever known. When  I hugged him one last time before I left for the States, I hugged him so tight and I made sure I told him how much I loved him. He said don’t cry, I will see you again. I held on to that. Until now, even when he was already gone, I knew one day I would see him again. And when I came back home to be with him on his funeral, to have a glimpse of his face one last time, I made sure I told him, “I love you, papa. Til we meet again.”

Happy Father’s Day!

The Shades That’s Out There!

You know why the title, “The Shades That’s Out There?” Because after a little Korean Dinner with friends today, I dropped by McDonalds to get the husband some Frappe and the sales person at the window said, OMG! Your shades are out there! You see I have a black one of the same style, the baroque sunglasses as how it’s called and even my husband said, they are outrageous. I should buy more like of different colors. LOL! And so I started to buy another one and this time in white color. I still think they are more fabulous in black though.

Outfit of the day, Bonjour Top (worn before), Forever21 Distressed Pants, shoes and shades from amazon, long chain purse from zenufashion.

I hope you guys have a wonderful Father’s day! (Love our fathers, we only have one!)

You Don’t Have To See My Shoes…..

Fashionistas! Hello there! I have just done cropping the photos my husband took today after him and I checked a few houses in accordance to our plan of moving to another house one day. I was wondering what the photos would look like without you seeing my shoes. Viola! Here they are! LOL! Just let me, okay? Thank you. 🙂

The dress is from forever21 I have bought a few seasons ago that I didn’t wear because I thought the bandage skirt part is too tight, but it’s summer time baby, so here it goes. I painted my nails today. Yay! It’s my day off from work so I did it. Too bad I have to remove it before work tomorrow. 😦 That is some work painting your nails and removing it a few hours after. Right?

I hope you guys enjoy this post. See yah, see yah on my next one. Happy Summer!
